Thank You to Our Boston Marathon Runners and Supporters

On April 15, four runners laced up for the Boston Marathon in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts’ youth mentoring programs. Thank you to those who hit the pavement and those who supported and cheered them on. Together, the runners raised over $20,000 and counting for agency’s year-round one-to-one youth mentoring programs. Learn more about our Boston Marathon team below.

The team will continue to accept donations through June 30, 2024. To donate to a member of the team, visit: https://support.emassbigs.org/team/556183.

Annie Quinn

Quinn became a Big through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts’ campus-based Boston College program one year ago. She ran the Boston Marathon with the motivation of raising money to support caring one-to-one mentoring connections like the one she has with her Little.

Fons Cervera

Cervera has been matched with his Little Diego for one year. He ran the Boston Marathon for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts because of what the organization means to him as a Big and role model to Diego.

Ryan Parlon

Parlon has been matched with his Little Gage for one year now. He signed up to become a Big because he wanted to be a role model and friend to make an impact on a child’s life. Parlon raised money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts to show youth that anything in life is possible.

Grace Petrick

Petrick has been matched with her Little for over a year now through the campus-based Boston College program. She was encouraged to join the program by her father, who was once a College Big himself. Petrick ran the Boston Marathon for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts community and for her Little.
