Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to reflect on the accomplishments and the hardships people of the Hispanic and Latinx community have faced in American history. The month is recognized from September 15 – October 15 annually, beginning on the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua (September 15, 1988).
