Barbara Cotton Joins Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands
Hyannis, MA—Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands is pleased to welcome Barbara Cotton to their development team. Barbara brings over 15 years of fundraising and special events experience to BBBS and will serve as the Regional Development Officer for the agency.
“Barbara comes to us very well-known and respected in the fundraising community on the Cape,” said JR Mell, Regional Director for BBBS. “I’m thrilled to welcome her to our team to head up our fundraising efforts on the Cape & Islands, enabling us to serve more kids in our geography.”
Barbara, a “double Eagle” graduate of Boston College, successfully led the Cape Cod Children’s Museum for the past 10 years, growing their revenue by 10% annually and expanding their services to reach more at-risk youth. She is well established in the non-profit community and serves on a number of Boards, including Mashpee Cultural Council, the Advancement Committee for St. John Paul II High School, St. Vincent DePaul Society for Christ the King Parish and The Cape Cod Chapter of the Boston College Alumni Association. A graduate of The Community Leadership Institute in 2011 and most recently Tufts University’s Non-Profit Leadership Institute’s inaugural class of 2017, Barbara is a most passionate community advocate with impressive credentials.
