BBBSCCI matches underserved youth with adult mentors in lasting one-to-one friendships supported by trained professional staff. The agency is well respected both for its mission and for the quality of its services. As a part-time Program Coordinator, your responsibilities include assessment of potential volunteers, enrolling families and youth, and making quality new “matches. Through extensive and detailed interviews with both the families and volunteers, you will work to carefully to match a volunteer with a child. You will then manage and sustain the Big and Little experience by evaluating the friendships and delivering tailored guidance, direction and risk management assistance with the goal of positively impacting the youth’s life for the better, forever. The goal is to effectively match, coach and motivate volunteers to grow friendships that result in positive youth development. Qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree and 2-3 years, Associate’s degree and 4 years, or 8 years of relevant work experience of social services, human resources, volunteer management, or related experience. Assessment, intake, and interview experience. Required Skills and Abilities: The right candidate will be highly motivated, goal-driven and possess outstanding problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication required. Early evening and select weekend days required. This position works from home and must have a workspace that allows for confidential conversations.The candidate must have access to reliable transportation to travel to appointments in the community and the ability to periodically work in the office for required trainings and meetings.

Hours: This position works 17-20 hours per week, afternoon and evening hours; may include weekend hours
